Philosophy of Ministry:

Rev. Reggie L. Bodrick, my philosophy in ministry is informed through my real-life experiences in seeking God’s direction, to overcome daily challenges.  I believe in prayer; and, that prayer should be an integral part in the life of every Christian. Prayer enrich, and to strengthen our lives through difficult times, and the not so difficult times of our lives.

I believe that ministry must be transparent, in truth and power of God’s words confronting our positions in life, to turn our lives over to the Lord.  Ministry must reach to the future; creating an environment that everyone is accepted to reach their full potential in Christ. Ministry must be the vehicle for outreach to our youth and the community. Ministry must impact, empower and prepare the local body, within the community for kingdom building. Ministry is the foundation for evangelism, and the example of sharing a vision to invoke participation to make it a reality. Ministry must be about sharing good news to the poor, proclaim the release of captives, to recovery the sight of the blind, to let the oppress go free, to always proclaim the Lord’s favor.

Ministry must be inclusive within the local body and surrounding communities and must act as a beacon for those who are forgotten, excluded, those bound by chains of injustices, that penetrates the hearts of the local body to shows itself true. Love ye one another, even as I have loved you, Jesus tells His disciples to do this in demonstrating His love, that leads others from stumbling, and being offended, in allowing Christ to come into their lives.

The Apostle Paul writes that love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave itself rudely, does not seek its own, thinks no evil, does no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth, hears all things, believes all things, endures all things. Ministry must include bearing one another’s burdens, because there are times, the burdens of this life are too heavy to bear alone. Galatians 6: 1“Brethren if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such one in the spirit of gentleness considering yourself, lest you also are tempted.

Finally, ministry must be a tent that brings people together collectively and creates an atmosphere for the transformative power of the Holy Spirit to change, and impact lives individually. I believe God’s word must be made simple and presented in an understandable way to impact lives and a path to a better life.  Jesus Christ must be the foundation of Ministry gives us our devotion, testimonies, and worship experiences to stir our gifts for kingdom building. Ministry must be based on the message at the cross, and salvation; “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1Corithians 1:18).
